Welcome to “La Découverte” Inn, in the heart of Névache, in the magnificent Clarée Valley.
We are Sarah and Grégoire, the proud new owners of this place steeped in history after Olivier & Claudine Chrétien (1999–2019) and then Benoit & Kristina de Korsak (2019–2025)
Inspired by the moments we’ve shared with family and friends, we want to pass on the simple, warm and vibrant spirit of this auberge — a place shaped by the seasons and the surrounding nature.
Here, people come to hike, cycle, observe, breathe, rest, read, play, connect… or simply do nothing at all. All in a friendly, home-like atmosphere — except here, we take care of everything for you!

Our team welcomes you on a half-board basis (breakfast + dinner), for stays of one night or more, from June 1st to October 30th, and again from December 28th to March 31st.
The auberge is perfectly located in the heart of Névache, with countless hiking trails starting right from the doorstep. In summer, the shuttle departure point is just a few minutes’ walk away. We’re close to the village shops and activities, yet we benefit from a quiet private garden with beautiful mountain views.
We also offer a large private parking area exclusively for our guests, right at the foot of the inn.

Delicious Homemade meals, local and generous
At “La Découverte”, we cook homemade meals every day, using seasonal products from the Hautes-Alpes, and wherever possible, organic.
Our cuisine is simple, wholesome, and generous, perfectly suited to the appetites of outdoor enthusiasts and mountain lovers.
We keep it simple.
In the mornings, we serve breakfasts featuring local products, packed with the nutrients you need for a full day of adventure.
For lunch, we offer complete packed meals on request for €13 (please place your order at least a day in advance). Available for takeaway only.
In the evenings, we serve generous, warm, and comforting set-menu meals. Dinner is at 7:00 pm in winter and 7:30 pm in summer, enjoyed at shared tables in a welcoming, friendly atmosphere.
We are happy to cater to any special dietary needs, provided we are informed before your arrival.

Simple Rates and Booking
Our rates are consistent all year round. Reservations can be made either by email using our contact form or by phone after 4:00 pm, during our opening periods.
We are open from June 1st to October 31st, and from December 28th to March 31st.
